Each piece is unique. Learn more →

Formed within a studio practice shaped by decades of wood firing, teaching, and hands-on making in India, this ceramic mug reflects a process where drawing, surface, and use develop together over time. The softly structured body and well-proportioned handle are wheel-thrown for balance and everyday comfort, allowing the mug to sit naturally in the hand. A spontaneous blue brush mark moves across the pale surface as part of the making itself, emerging through natural glazing and long wood firings rather than applied decoration. Crafted in stoneware and fired patiently, the surface carries subtle variation shaped by ash, flame movement, and kiln atmosphere. Designed for daily tea or coffee, the mug offers durability, warmth, and a relaxed visual character that settles easily into everyday routines.

Process & Craft

Each mug is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.

Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
