Translating observation and gesture into a vessel for everyday ritual, this ceramic teapot carries the expressive language of wood-fired stoneware. The softly faceted body and balanced handle feel steady and familiar in the hand, shaped slowly to preserve subtle shifts that speak of touch and use. A hand-drawn motif moves across the surface like a quiet narrative, guided by a painterly sensibility where clay becomes both canvas and form. Crafted in stoneware and wood-fired, the surface is shaped by flame, ash, and shifting kiln atmospheres, creating natural flashing, soft tonal variation, and markings unique to each firing. Designed for daily tea brewing and shared moments, the teapot pours smoothly and holds warmth well, bringing character, intention, and a sense of lived beauty to the table.

Process & Craft

Each kettle is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.

Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
