Tracing movement and material across its surface, this ceramic bowl captures the raw, painterly spirit of wood-fired stoneware. The softly rounded form feels steady and grounding in the hand, shaped slowly to preserve subtle shifts that reflect touch and use. A flowing, dark line travels around the warm, textured surface like a horizon in motion, guided by a painterly sensibility where clay becomes both canvas and record. Crafted in stoneware and wood-fired, the bowl is shaped by wandering flames, settling ash, and shifting kiln atmospheres, creating natural flashing, layered textures, and markings that can never be repeated. Designed for tea rituals, small servings, or quiet moments at the table, the form brings warmth, tactility, and a sense of quiet energy to everyday use.

Process & Craft
Each bowl is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.
Sustainability Practices
Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
