Grounded and earthy, the Stone Speckle Saucer Diya carries the look of weathered river stone. A spouted oil well sits within a wide drip saucer, with a ribbed loop handle for carrying the flame. Dense grey-brown speckling runs across the glaze, so every piece reads as a small, hand-made original.

Process & Craft

Each saucer diya is hand-thrown on the wheel from local Indian stoneware clay, with the loop handle pulled and joined by hand, then fired for 16–20 hours in a wood kiln reaching 1300°C. Casuarina wood ash drifts across the glaze in the kiln, leaving natural specks, flashes and soft runs, so no two pieces come out the same.

Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
