Crafted to slow down your midday brew, this functional teapot from our Adwai collection turns tea preparation into a meditative art. The low, gently compressed globular body features a short, classic spout and a perfectly integrated lid, all balanced beneath a high-arching, hand-bent rattan handle that stays entirely cool to the touch while pouring.
The surface of the teapot displays a highly tactile, organic palette of rich earth tones. A speckled, matte greenish-ochre glaze blankets the body and lid, heavily dapple-textured with dark iron spots that emerge from the underlying clay. This rustic glaze is dramatically cut by an unglazed, sweeping sienna-brown ribbon motif that winds fluidly across the front and over the lid—exposing the raw, earthy grit of the stoneware. The overhead handle is secured tightly through two integrated stoneware loops using traditional, hand-wrapped fiber bindings, creating a beautiful harmony between fired minerals and natural flora.
Engineered with a solid, thick-walled construction, this piece provides exceptional heat retention to keep your infusions at the perfect temperature over long conversations. The precise balance between the heavy stoneware base, the comfortable overhead grip, and the organic sweep of the spout invites a rhythmic, mindful pour, grounding your tea table in a slow, timeless aesthetic.

Process & Craft
Each teapot represents a highly skilled, multi-layered journey between master potters and traditional weavers. The body, spout, and delicate inner galleries are wheel-thrown and hand-assembled using mineral-dense local Indian stoneware clay. The piece is then vitrified in a grueling wood-fired kiln process reaching 1300°C over 16–20 hours, allowing natural wood ash to dust the shoulders of the pot. Once cooled, seasoned artisans custom-shape and tie the flexible rattan handle through the fired ceramic loops—fusing two ancient disciplines into a single, unrepeatable masterpiece.
Sustainability Practices
Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
