This handcrafted mug reflects the quiet charm of traditional studio pottery, shaped on the wheel using techniques rooted in South Indian craft and influenced by the natural simplicity of Japanese ceramics. Its softly rounded form carries subtle throwing lines that reveal the maker’s touch. The warm, sandy glaze creates a calm, earthy surface, while the bold stroke of orange sweeps across the mug like a single expressive brushmark—adding movement, energy, and an artistic spirit. Fired at high temperatures, it develops gentle speckles and natural variations that make each piece one of a kind.  Comfortable to hold and soothing in tone, this mug is perfect for morning chai, evening tea, or any slow, grounding ritual. Process & Craft

Each mug is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.

Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
