The silhouette of the SAHA set draws from the generous proportions of the traditional Indian Lota, reimagined through the minimalist lens of Japanese tea culture. The ridged surface echoes the rhythmic movement of a potter's fingers, creating a dialogue between ancient form and modern utility.

Dressed in a glaze reminiscent of morning mist clinging to river stones, the exterior bears the subtle speckle of minerals transformed by fire. Inside, a deep, earth-toned reservoir provides a grounding contrast, like fertile soil hidden beneath a winter frost.

To hold these pieces is to embrace the weight of a shared moment. The textured ribs provide a tactile map for the hands, encouraging a slower pace where the act of pouring tea becomes a meditative ritual of togetherness.

Process & Craft

Hand-thrown using a proprietary blend of local Indian stoneware clays, this set underwent a grueling 18-hour wood-firing at 1300°C. We utilize Casuarina wood ash, which interacts with the high heat to create unique atmospheric markings and natural 'runs' on the surface. Each piece is a singular record of the kiln's internal climate, a testament to the unpredictable beauty of fire and human intent.
