Designed intentionally for the sacred geometry of gathering, this collection celebrates the profound strength found in shared moments and the quiet intimacy of communal life. Its silhouette roots itself in the sturdy Indian tradition of hospitality, utilizing a grand, circular base that acts as a physical anchor for the table, refined through a minimalist lens for the modern meditative lifestyle.

The exterior is a quiet testament to natural alchemical phenomena and the unpredictable movement of melting iron oxides as they fuse with the clay body at peak temperatures. Moody, oil-spot blues drift into deep, earthy iron halos, capturing a subtle interplay of light and shadow reminiscent of a woodland canopy at twilight or ancient mineral veins cooling under a night sky.

To touch this dense stoneware is to find a moment of sanctuary far removed from the rush of the modern world. The warm, woven texture of the cane handle provides a comforting, rustic counterpoint to the cool stoneware, turning a simple gathering over food into a grounded haptic experience of togetherness.

Process & Craft

Hand-thrown from a proprietary blend of local Indian stoneware clays, this serving platter and nested bowl set is a testament to the transformative, primal power of the wood-kiln’s alchemy. Subjected to an intense 20-hour wood-firing at 1300°C, the pieces are seasoned by the combustion of Casuarina wood as its volatile fly-ash circulates through the chamber. This ash melts into a natural, high-gloss glaze, producing deep oceanic pooling inside the vessels and a rich, shadowy iron patina along the rims. Every detail—from the complex mineral variations to the hand-wrapped sustainable cane handle—celebrates the beautiful unpredictability of the flame, ensuring that no two serving sets emerge identical from the heat.
