After a meticulous leather-hard trimming stage, the matching lid is thrown to ensure an exact, seamless fit. Following a 900°C bisque firing, the piece is dipped and layered with a complex, high-iron cobalt and copper glaze formula. It is then loaded into a traditional wood-fired kiln for a grueling 20-hour cycle at 1300°C, where the extreme reduction environment forces the minerals to bubble, shift, and fuse into a deeply layered, unrepeatable crystalline patina.
