Belonging to the SAHA collection, this ensemble is a tribute to the collective spirit and the sacred Indian ritual of shared sustenance. The central lidded vessel, anchored by four matching bowls, draws its silhouette from the ancestral tradition of communal dining, where the act of uncovering a meal is a gesture of warmth and protection.
The surface serves as a canvas for the midnight hour, where deep indigo and charcoal strokes evoke the 'Nocturne' shadows of leaves against a moonlit river stone. The erratic beauty of the glaze, punctuated by mineral speckles, mirrors a starlit sky, capturing the ephemeral movement of fire and wind frozen in clay.
Designed for the slow rhythm of a shared table, the weight of the stoneware offers a grounded tactility that encourages presence. As hands pass these vessels around a circle, the unique textures and hand-painted motifs transform a simple meal into a meditative ceremony of togetherness and tactile intimacy.

Process & Craft
Crafted from a blend of locally sourced Indian stoneware clays, this set is hand-thrown and finished with mineral-rich slips. It endured a rigorous 16–20 hour wood-firing process in a traditional kiln at temperatures reaching 1300°C. The combustion of Casuarina wood produces a fine ash that settles on the pieces, vitrifying into natural glazes and creating the distinct, unpredictable 'runs' and 'drips' that define authentic wood-fired ceramics.
