The Muted Canopy set finds its silhouette in the intersection of Indian heritage and the disciplined grace of Japanese tea traditions. Each piece is thrown with an intentional weight, grounded by a generous base that recalls the ancestral 'Lota' form, yet refined for the modern meditative ritual of the SAHA collection.
The surface is a quiet testament to the movement of heat and ash. Mossy greens drift into deep, iron-rich ochres, mirroring the ancient growth of lichen across a damp forest floor. The subtle 'runs' and 'drips' of the glaze are not mere accidents, but the kiln’s own signature, capturing a moment of raw, natural alchemy in permanent form.
To hold these vessels is to engage in a slower tempo of life. The tactile grain of the stoneware provides a sensory anchor, warming the hands as the tea warms the spirit. It is a set designed for shared silences and the rhythmic pouring that strengthens the bonds of togetherness.

Process & Craft
Crafted from locally sourced Indian clays rich in mineral character, this set underwent a grueling 18-hour wood-firing process in our traditional kiln. Reaching temperatures of 1300°C, the pieces were seasoned by the combustion of Casuarina wood. The resulting finish is a product of the fly-ash reacting with the clay body, creating a natural, glass-like glaze that can never be replicated by industrial means.
