Each piece is unique. Learn more →

Formed within a studio practice shaped by decades of wood firing and functional making in India, this ceramic mug reflects an approach where surface, proportion, and use evolve together over time. The low, cylindrical body and sturdy handle are wheel-thrown for balance and everyday comfort, allowing the mug to sit securely in the hand. Deep olive and earthy brown tones develop through natural glazing and long wood firings, where ash deposits and flame movement introduce layered variation across the surface. Crafted in stoneware and fired patiently, the mug carries a quiet depth and tactile richness that comes from kiln-led processes rather than controlled finishes. Designed for daily tea or coffee, the form offers durability, warmth, and a calm presence that settles easily into everyday routines.

Process & Craft

Each mug is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.

Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
