The structural silhouette is defined by subtle, hand-carved facets that run vertically down the lower half of the teapot body. Over this form flows an intricate glaze work of rich moss green and a mottled, stippled tea-dust gold that breaks over the multi-sided edges, creating a living texture reminiscent of lichen growing on wet stone.

Process & Craft
Hand-thrown from a proprietary blend of local Indian stoneware clays rich in mineral character, this teapot in 21A.jpg underwent a grueling 18-hour wood-firing process. Reaching peak temperatures of 1300°C in the belly of our traditional kiln, the piece was seasoned by the combustion of Casuarina wood. The resulting finish is a direct product of the volatile fly-ash circulating through the chamber and reacting with the high-mineral glazes to create these natural, glass-like 'runs' and dense granular speckling. The overhead handle is painstakingly shaped from local sustainable cane, speckled by the fire's atmosphere and secured with traditional lashings to ensure no two teapots ever emerge identical from the heat.
