The Moss Grove set, a cornerstone of our SAHA collection, honors the silent strength of communal rituals. Its silhouette is a deliberate bridge between worlds—the generous, rounded body reminiscent of the Indian Kalash, balanced by a hand-carved bamboo handle that echoes the understated elegance of Japanese tea traditions.

The surface serves as a living canvas of a secluded forest floor. Through the unpredictable alchemy of the kiln, the glaze has matured into a variegated landscape of mossy greens and lichen-like textures. These organic markings, created by the dance of flame and mineral, mirror the complex beauty of a river stone aged by centuries of patient current.

To hold these vessels is to ground oneself in the sanctity of the present. The tactile weight of the cups and the rhythmic, steady pour from the teapot invite a meditative pause. This is a set designed for the intimate, unhurried conversations that weave spirits together, far from the noise of the modern world.

Process & Craft

Each piece is hand-thrown using locally sourced Indian stoneware clays, then subjected to a rigorous 16–20 hour wood-firing process. At a peak temperature of 1300°C, the Casuarina wood ash atomizes within the kiln, settling onto the clay to create natural glass 'runs' and 'drips'. This artisanal process ensures that the finish is not merely applied, but born from the fire, resulting in a unique character that can never be replicated by machine.
