Belonging to the AVYAJ collection, this bowl is an ode to the essential. Its silhouette finds harmony between the humble Indian katori and the meditative depth of a Japanese chawan, celebrating a geometry that is both ancient and enduringly modern.
The surface captures the ephemeral beauty of a morning mist settling over a pebbled stream. Through the alchemy of the kiln, the pale, clouded glaze is punctuated by delicate ash speckles and a toasted rim, mirroring the soft transition where the water meets the sun-warmed earth.
Designed for the intimate rituals of the everyday, this bowl invites a slowing of time. To cradle its cool, tactile surface is to feel the weight of the earth and the heat of the fire, transforming a simple meal into a quiet act of mindfulness.

Process & Craft
Each piece is hand-thrown using a proprietary blend of local Indian clays and minerals, then subjected to the grueling intensity of a 16–20 hour wood-firing. Reaching temperatures of 1300°C, the atmosphere is fed by Casuarina wood; the resulting fly ash melts into a natural glass, creating the unique 'mist' texture and organic drips that no industrial process can replicate.
