Process & Craft
Brought to life through a process defined by patience, each mug is individually thrown on the wheel using iron-rich local Indian stoneware clay. The handle is hand-pulled and carefully attached before the piece undergoes a grueling 16–20 hour woodfire cycle inside a traditional kiln, reaching temperatures up to 1300°C. As the Casuarina wood burns down, its airborne ash floats through the chamber to settle onto the mineral glazes, creating a natural glass-like fusion and complex speckling that completely rejects the soulless uniformity of industrial manufacturing—giving every mug an unrepeatable soul.
