The Midnight Moss lidded jar emerges as a quiet testament to the SAHA collection’s devotion to the elemental. Its silhouette, a dialogue between the sturdy presence of traditional Indian storage forms and the refined geometry of Zen aesthetics, honors the timeless sanctity of the circle and the hand that shaped it.

Cloaked in a deep, lustrous nocturne glaze, the surface reveals a constellation of stardust-like flecks born from the kiln's fire. Along the rim, a subtle bloom of olive lichen appears where the flame has kissed the clay, creating a landscape that mirrors the quiet growth on a forest floor at twilight.

Designed for the intimate rituals of the home, this lidded bowl invites a slower pace of life. Its weight is grounding, and the tactile transition from the smooth glaze to the raw, earthy foot offers a sensory bridge between the domestic table and the wild earth from which it came.

Process & Craft

Hand-thrown using mineral-rich clays sourced from local Indian deposits, this piece undergoes a transformative 16–20 hour wood-firing at 1300°C. We use Casuarina wood ash, which vaporizes in the intense heat to create natural 'runs' and 'drips' across the surface. This artisanal process relies on the unpredictable dance of flame and ash, ensuring that the glaze depth and character of every lidded jar remain entirely unique.
