The silhouette of the Lichen Stillness set finds its breath at the intersection of Indian heritage and the meditative economy of Japanese tradition. The teapot’s faceted base, echoing the grounded strength of ancient water vessels, is softened by a hand-curated cane handle, celebrating a marriage of earth and botanical spirit.
Its surface is a cartography of the kiln’s soul, where Casuarina ash has settled like lichen upon weathered stones. Hues of mossy green and deep, ember-burnt umber bleed into one another, mimicking the quiet dampness of a forest floor after the first monsoon rain—a testament to the unpredictable beauty of the flame's path.
Belonging to our SAHA collection, this set is an invitation to pause and reconnect. To cradle these cups is to feel the intentional weight of hand-thrown clay, turning a simple tea service into a slow, shared ritual. It is crafted for those who find luxury in the quiet intimacy of a morning brew and the strength of coming together.

Process & Craft
Hand-thrown using a proprietary blend of mineral-rich Indian stoneware clays, this set is a product of endurance and alchemy. It underwent an arduous 18-hour wood-firing at 1300°C, where the atmosphere was fed exclusively by Casuarina wood. This high-temperature dance allows the wood ash to vitrify into a natural glaze, creating the unique 'runs' and 'drips' that characterize true wood-fired stoneware. The result is a unique, tactile surface that preserves the memory of the fire forever.
