Sweeping gesture and earthy warmth into a single form, this ceramic bowl reflects the expressive language of wood-fired stoneware. The open, gently rounded silhouette feels balanced and grounded in the hand, shaped slowly to preserve subtle variations that speak of process and touch. A bold, arcing brushstroke moves across the surface like a single, confident motion, contrasting against warm clay tones and textured ash deposits. Crafted in stoneware and wood-fired, the bowl is shaped by wandering flames, settling ash, and shifting kiln atmospheres, creating natural flashing, tonal depth, and unrepeatable surface character. Designed for serving small meals, snacks, or as a visual anchor on the table, the form brings energy, warmth, and painterly presence to everyday use.

Process & Craft
Each bowl is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.
Sustainability Practices
Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
