Crafted to slow down your midday brew, this functional teapot from our Adwai collection turns tea preparation into a meditative art. The vessel features a beautifully balanced, classic profile with a sturdy, flared base, a short straight spout engineered for a clean pour, and an elegantly curved side handle that provides a secure, ergonomic grip.

The surface of the teapot showcases a brilliant play of high-fire glazes and rich, warm tones. A glossy, honey-amber ochre glaze coats the main body, beautifully dappled with fine iron speckles that rise up from the clay beneath. This warm golden-brown body transitions dramatically at the collar, rim, and lid into a deep, dark iron slip with subtle hints of midnight blue where the glazes melt together. The smooth, lustrous finish highlights the soft throwing rings left by the artisan’s hands, offering a timeless aesthetic that anchors your tea table in quiet warmth.

Engineered with a solid, thick-walled construction, this piece provides exceptional heat retention to keep your infusions at the perfect temperature over long conversations. The precise balance between the weighted stoneware body and the comfortable side handle invites a rhythmic, intentional pour, grounding your daily ritual in a slow, mindful aesthetic.

Process & Craft

Born from the creative intersection of two ancient disciplines, this piece bridges the raw power of earth and fire with the delicate rhythm of hand-painting. Local Indian stoneware clay is first shaped on the potter's wheel and wood-fired at an intense 1300°C for 20 hours, a process that relies on drifting wood ash to deposit subtle, glassy highlights across the rim. Once the kiln has cooled, the vitrified vessel is completed with precise brushwork before its final firing, creating an exquisite interplay of natural slips and iron oxides. This meticulous, two-fold crafting process ensures that every single teapot carries its own distinct, unrepeatable legacy.
Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
