A quiet anchor for the morning table, this standalone coffee pot is a sculptural tribute to everyday pauses, crafted under the philosophy of the Avyaj Collection to find extraordinary beauty within unadorned, functional forms. Its broad, grounding base and generous posture draw from the heritage of traditional Indian pouring jars, reimagined with a clean, contemporary discipline that fits seamlessly into modern living spaces.
The vessel is characterized by structural, pronounced horizontal ridges sculpted directly into the clay body during the throwing process. In the volatile atmosphere of the kiln, a glossy lavender-grey and soft slate-blue glaze cascades over these stepped rings, creating high-contrast pools of color and exposing a warm, toasted-umber edge along the rim and spout.
Crafted for seamless everyday utility, the teapot features an ergonomically balanced ceramic handle equipped with a subtle thumb-rest to ensure a precise, comfortable pour. Whether hosting a quiet gathering or indulging in a solitary morning brew, this piece elevates a simple daily routine into a visually enriching and tactile experience.

Process & Craft
Meticulously hand-thrown using an iron-rich blend of local Indian stoneware clays, this coffee pot undergoes a transformative 18-hour journey within our traditional wood-fired kiln. Reaching peak temperatures of 1300°C, the piece is seasoned by the combustion of Casuarina wood while its volatile fly-ash circulates throughout the chamber. The ash reacts with the glazed surface to produce a subtle, glass-like stippling, permanently baking the complex mineral variations and deep slate tones directly into the stone-like skin. The unpredictable path of the flame and the natural pooling along the thrown ridges ensure that each vessel emerges from the heat as a singular, non-replicable piece of ceramic art.
