Brought to the table with steady, double-handled poise, this functional server from our Adwai collection redefines the art of rustic hospitality. Its low, expansive profile and robust side handles echo the timeless utility of ancient village cookware, re-imagined with a contemporary studio edge to gracefully pass warm stews, curries, or roasted seasonal vegetables around a gathering of family and friends.

The exterior walls showcase a stunning, moody landscape of fluid glaze chemistry; a deep, crystalline iron-black base breaks into a rich cascade of running mossy-green streaks that melt vertically toward the foot. This dark, pooling drama is framed beautifully by an unvarnished, raw iron-brown rim that accents the vessel's strong outline. Inside, the glossy, glass-like interior mirrors the complex depths of a shaded forest pool, reflecting the light and enhancing the rich colors of the nourishment served within.

Crafted for enduring presence at the dining table, the solid stoneware walls provide exceptional temperature retention to keep your dishes warm throughout an evening of slow conversation. The tactile comfort of the two hand-sculpted handles invites an immediate physical connection, transforming the simple act of passing a dish into a shared moment of community.

Process & Craft

Forged in the volatile heart of our traditional high-temperature kilns, this piece represents an intricate dance between natural minerals and raw heat. Hand-thrown from iron-dense local Indian stoneware clay, the vessel undergoes a grueling 16–20 hour woodfire process reaching 1300°C. As the Casuarina wood burns, its fine ash drifts through the chamber to land upon the molten glazes, causing the deep greens and blacks to break, run, and pool into entirely unique configurations. This intense fire-interaction ensures that each handled server leaves the kiln with its own distinct, unrepeatable character.

Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
