Extending gesture and fire into a tall, grounded form, this ceramic vase reflects the expressive character of wood-fired stoneware. The gently flared silhouette rises with quiet strength, shaped slowly to preserve subtle shifts that speak of touch and balance. A bold, hand-painted sweep moves across the pale upper surface like a single, decisive mark, contrasted by the warm, ember-toned body below. Crafted in stoneware and wood-fired, the surface is shaped by wandering flames, settling ash, and shifting kiln atmospheres, creating natural flashing, layered texture, and unrepeatable tonal variation. Designed to hold dried botanicals, fresh stems, or to stand as a sculptural element, the vase adds height, warmth, and a sense of movement to contemporary interiors.

Process & Craft
Each vase is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.
Sustainability Practices
Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
