Each piece is unique. Learn more →
Designed to act as a quiet sanctuary for unwinding, this piece from our Avyaj collection honors the slow pour and the timeless spirit of gathering. Its robust silhouette is a thoughtful dialogue between the generous, sturdy forms of traditional Indian tankards and the refined, functional minimalism of modern studio pottery, built to ground your evening rituals.
The surface of the Equinox Mug serves as a canvas for the delicate balance of day and night; a soft, sandy-gold body is gently washed over by a cool undercurrent of hazy slate-blue glaze. This multi-tonal complexion is freckled with natural iron speckles and highlighted by a subtle, diagonal ash-drip running along the front. Inside, a glimpse of mossy olive-green pools at the bottom, mimicking parched earth catching the soft light of a shifting season as it cradles a crisp, cold brew.
Designed for the deliberate pour and the post-day reflection, the substantial weight of this stoneware piece encourages a mindful, steady grip. The tactile contrast between the smooth glaze and the raw, unhurried marks of the maker invites a meditative pause, turning the simple act of sharing a drink into a soulful ritual of presence and connection.

Process & Craft
Each piece is wheel-thrown using stoneware clay sourced from local Indian mineral deposits. The vessel undergoes a grueling 20-hour woodfire stoneware firing technique at 1300°C. During this time, Casuarina wood ash is carried by the draft of the kiln, landing on the glowing surfaces of the Equinox Coffee Mug to melt into natural 'runs' and 'drips'. This interaction between fire, ash, and minerals ensures that while the collection is unified, every single piece possesses a unique, unrepeatable soul that defies the soulless uniformity of mass production.
Sustainability Practices
Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
