Each piece is unique. Learn more →
Formed within a studio practice shaped by decades of wood firing, teaching, and everyday making in India, this ceramic mug reflects an approach where form and surface develop through repeated use and experience. The compact body and gently pulled handle are wheel-thrown for balance and comfort, allowing the mug to feel steady and familiar in the hand. A hand-painted motif moves across the pale surface with an ease that feels integral to the form, shaped by brush, glaze, and kiln rather than applied decoration. Crafted in stoneware and fired slowly in a wood kiln, the surface carries subtle shifts created by ash, flame movement, and kiln atmosphere, giving each mug its own quiet character. Designed for daily tea or coffee, the mug offers durability, warmth, and a relaxed visual presence that settles naturally into everyday routines.

Process & Craft
Each mug is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.
Sustainability Practices
Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
