Marrying natural woven textures with rustic pottery, this unique statement piece from our Adwai collection brings an organic, architectural element to your interior. Its tapered, conical stoneware body meets an overhead, high-arching handle made of hand-bent natural cane, drawing inspiration from traditional water-carrying vessels and rustic countryside baskets to create a timeless, sculptural accent for your living space.
The surface of the vase reveals an exquisite, unhurried study of natural earth tones. A soft, matte ash-beige glaze envelopes the main body, dramatically interrupted by an unglazed, abstract sienna-brown path that winds down the front, showing the raw, beautiful texture of the underlying clay. Around the undulating, organic rim, a rich caramel-brown slip pools and flows, mirroring the golden-hour light hitting ancient stone. The cane handle is meticulously lashed to two sturdy ceramic loops using traditional rattan bindings, adding a beautiful material contrast that softens the solid presence of the stoneware.
Designed to stand alone as a piece of functional art or to hold dried grasses, wild botanical branches, and fresh floral stems, the substantial weight of this piece ensures absolute stability. The interplay between the smooth glazes, rough unglazed lines, and the fibrous warmth of the cane invites a deep tactile engagement, grounding your decor in a slow, mindful aesthetic.

Process & Craft
This vessel highlights an exceptional collaboration between wheel-throwing and traditional basket-weaving techniques. The ceramic body is individually shaped from local Indian stoneware clay and subjected to a rigorous 20-hour woodfiring process at 1300°C, where swirling wood ash melts across the rim to create its unique variegated caramel coloration. Once cooled, skilled artisans hand-bend, fit, and secure the mature cane handle through the fired clay loops using precise, traditional knotting patterns. This intricate multi-medium assembly ensures that every single vase functions as an entirely unique, handcrafted masterpiece.
Sustainability Practices
Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
