This handcrafted mug brings together the warmth of earth and the calm of water, shaped through pottery traditions that trace back to early South Indian studio craft and its deep-rooted respect for natural materials. Made on the potter’s wheel, its gently curved body carries soft rings that show the slow, patient rhythm of handmade pottery. The rich brown rim fades into cool blue-green tones, creating a flowing, wave-like gradient inspired by age-old Asian ceramic styles. Speckles and shadows in the glaze form naturally during high-temperature firing, giving each piece its own quiet personality. With its wide, grounding shape and soothing colours, the mug invites peaceful mornings, thoughtful pauses, and warm, unhurried sips. A small piece of living heritage—crafted to be held, used, and enjoyed every day.

Process & Craft
Each mug is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.
Sustainability Practices
Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
