Elevating everyday rituals through form, surface, and quiet movement, this ceramic bowl draws from India’s utilitarian pottery traditions while speaking in a contemporary, global design language. The softly rounded silhouette feels calm and balanced in the hand, shaped slowly to preserve the gentle irregularities that make each piece feel personal. A flowing sweep of earthy brown and muted grey moves across the surface like a painted horizon, reflecting a painterly sensibility where clay becomes both canvas and vessel. Crafted in stoneware and wood-fired, the surface is shaped by flame, ash, and kiln atmosphere, creating natural flashes, tonal depth, and unrepeatable markings that bring warmth and character to the table. Ideal for soups, ramen, dal, grain bowls, desserts, or mindful tea rituals, the bowl’s gently curved profile helps hold liquids neatly while making plating feel intentional and refined. Designed to photograph beautifully and sit effortlessly in modern kitchens, the form brings together function, artistry, and everyday elegance—resting gently between craft, art, and lived experience.

Process & Craft

Each bowl is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.

Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
