The interior surface of the bowls is a breathtaking canvas of natural phenomena and woodfired alchemical magic. A frothy, pale seafoam glaze features an intense micro-crystalline crackle and dark iron crawling, mimicking frozen stardust or delicate lichen spreading across river stones. This textured pool is framed beautifully by deep tenmoku-brown rims that capture the exact way Casuarina wood ash settles and vitrifies at 1300°C.

Process & Craft
Crafted from locally sourced Indian stoneware clays rich in mineral character, this set underwent a grueling 18-hour wood-firing process in our traditional kiln. Reaching temperatures of 1300°C, the pieces were seasoned by the combustion of Casuarina wood. The resulting finish is a product of the fly-ash reacting with the clay body and pooling along the hand-carved facets, creating a natural, glass-like glaze with unpredictable 'runs' and 'drips' that can never be replicated by industrial means. The arching handle is painstakingly shaped from local sustainable cane and secured with traditional lashings, honoring the harmony between earth and forest.
