Balancing memory and modernity, these ceramic cup forms draw from India’s long tradition of utilitarian pottery while speaking in a contemporary, universal language. The gentle contrast between tapered and rounded silhouettes explores rhythm, proportion, and the quiet individuality of hand-shaped forms. Hand-painted indigo motifs drift across the soft, earthy surface like fleeting impressions, guided by a painterly sensibility where clay becomes both canvas and structure. Crafted in stoneware and wood-fired, the surfaces are shaped by flame, ash, and shifting kiln atmospheres, creating natural flashes, tonal depth, and markings that can never be repeated. Designed for tea, coffee, sake, or small everyday rituals, these cups invite touch, pause, and presence—resting gently between craft, art, and lived experience.

Process & Craft

Each cup is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.

Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
