Crafted intentionally for the sacred geometry of gathering, this collection from our SAHA line celebrates the profound intimacy of communal life and slow craftsmanship. Its silhouette roots itself in the sturdy Indian tradition of hospitality, utilizing a generous, heavy-set base that recalls the ancestral Lota form while embracing the poised, meditative quietude of stoneware.

The surface serves as a quiet testament to natural alchemical phenomena and intense thermal transformation. Rich amber slips bleed seamlessly into deep umber shadows, creating mottled textures that mirror the dappled light filtering through a dense forest vault or lichen climbing a weathered cliff face after a monsoon rain.

To touch these vessels is to embrace the weight of slow time and welcome stillness into the conversation. The tactile ripples left by the potter's fingers invite a deliberate touch, turning a simple tea service into a grounding, haptic ritual that strengthens the silent bonds of togetherness.

Process & Craft

Each piece is meticulously hand-thrown using iron-rich Indian stoneware clays, chosen for their distinctive mineral composition and inherent structural strength. This set then endured an arduous 18-hour wood-firing, where temperatures within the traditional kiln peaked at a grueling 1300°C. Utilizing Casuarina wood for combustion, the intense heat causes its volatile fly-ash to circulate and vitrify upon contact with the glowing clay body. This unpredictable alchemy creates the resulting natural glaze, featuring subtle 'ash-runs,' deep pooling along the rims, and a dynamic Patina born directly from the path of the flame.
