Holding warmth and familiarity within a low, open form, this ceramic bowl reflects a studio practice shaped by years of wood firing and everyday making in India. The gently rounded profile is wheel-thrown with attention to balance, allowing the bowl to sit steadily on the table while retaining subtle variations from the hand. Rich amber and earthy brown tones develop through natural glazing and extended wood firing, where ash movement and kiln atmosphere create soft depth and quiet variation across the surface. Crafted in stoneware and fired patiently, the bowl gains tactile richness shaped by flame and time. Intended for serving small portions, condiments, or daily table use, the form brings warmth, durability, and a calm presence to everyday settings.

Process & Craft

Each bowl is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.

Sustainability Practices

Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
