Opening into a calm, generous surface, this ceramic plate reflects a studio practice shaped by years of wood firing and sustained making in India. The gently curved profile and softly raised rim are wheel-thrown with restraint, allowing subtle variations in line to remain as traces of hand and process. Warm ivory tones form the base through natural glazing and extended wood firing, while hand-painted botanical marks add a quiet rhythm and painterly detail to the surface. Crafted in stoneware and fired patiently, the plate develops tactile depth shaped by flame and time rather than controlled finish. Intended for everyday meals, small servings, or thoughtful presentation, the form brings warmth, balance, and a composed presence to the table.

Process & Craft
Each plate is handmade by master craftspeople using traditional studio pottery methods, beginning with wheel-thrown forms shaped from unique clay mixes prepared in-house. Natural, mineral-rich glazes are applied by hand, drawing from Japanese Mingei and Korean Buncheong influences that guide the studio’s design sensibility. Fired at nearly 1300°C, the stoneware develops remarkable strength and a glaze surface shaped by the dynamic play of fire, ash, and high-temperature reactions inside the kiln. Every piece is quietly distinct — a reflection of the kiln’s temperament, the hands that shaped it, and the experienced designers who curate its final aesthetic.
Sustainability Practices
Made in serene, low-waste pottery studios that prioritize mindful production. All materials used — clays, glazes, oxides — are natural and non-toxic. High-temperature firing ensures long product life, reducing breakage and replacement cycles. Crafted in small batches to support ethical production and minimize overconsumption. Each mug embodies a slow craft philosophy, valuing longevity over mass production.
